Alberta Star Party
The annual Alberta Star Party. Get together with other astronomers at a camping event where you can enjoy speakers during the day and the sky during the night. The Alberta Star Party is open to everyone – not just RASC members. We invite you and your family to attend. The Annual Alberta Star Party is hosted by the Calgary Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and we feel that you will be impressed by the dark and transparent skies.

Free Hill Climbers Playgroup
Join a fun playgroup for free on a drop-in basis Friday mornings from 10:30am - 11:30am. Each month there is a new location, and no pre-registration is required. September will feature Confederation park, until October and November, when the playgroup will transition indoors for the winter.

Drop in Coding Lab for Kids: Code Your First App
Code and create as a family with Swift Playgrounds using iPad. Kids will experiment with code and design an app using the About Me playground. They’ll use Swift code to customize their app with fun fonts, background colours, Memoji and more. Then you’ll work together to bring their app to life. Recommended for kids ages 10 and up. Devices will be provided.

Haskayne Legacy Park Grand Opening
This FREE, all-ages, outdoor event to announce the opening of the park will be packed with things to do and displays to enjoy. We will start off with a short ceremony with Dick and Lois Haskayne, Mayor Jyoti Gondek, The City of Calgary, and Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation, followed by a variety of activities for all to enjoy. Bring the kids for wagon rides or golf cart tours of the park or hangout with friends during a walking adventure to see tipis. After, enjoy a free pancake breakfast while listening to live music in a beautiful landscape.

Free Mountains and Vines Performance
Springboard Performance is presenting 'Mountain', an outdoor aerial dance theatre work from Australia and 'Vines', an outdoor site-adaptive 50 performer dance. Both works centre environmental themes, the fragility and possibility of the natural world intersecting with physical perfomances.
